Quiet Santa Fe
There is a special quality to visiting Santa Fe in the off-season. The hustle and bustle of visitors moves into to a tranquil scene. Wanderings become more of a peaceful stroll. The tiny details of the charming city become more prominent, and the lines and shadows start taking center stage. Whether it’s a couple strolling along the sidewalk beneath the beams of lit trees, shadows dancing on the captivating architecture, or alluring railways and shops lit at night, these repetitive lines and pathways create a visual invitation to explore the quiet of Santa Fe.
Some travel stories go beyond the photographs. One evening, I stopped into the Second Street Brewery at The Railyard and had the most amazing Cream Stout and Green Chili Chicken Stew. I sat at the bar and met a fun couple from Barbados, Billy and Carolyn. We chatted about places we loved to travel and shared fun stories. They own and operate vacation villas in Barbados, which I hope to visit someday. These are the little things that make trips like this extra special...the moments beyond the photographs and stories behind them.
